The Pop Star Embraces a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser

The Grammy-winning artist is getting ready for a significant cinematic presence in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.

In the film, Charli embodies what she describes as a hell version of herself.

It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, the star stated.

She clarified in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept came from the pressure to produce one.

An Early Look into The Film

The debut trailer, launched on recently, blends real clips from her live performances with made-up off-stage interactions.

The Moment is overseen and co-authored by her collaborator, who shared that the plot focuses on a reality where the artist opted for alternate decisions in the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Busy Film Calendar

The mockumentary is just one of numerous future movie projects for the star, who has featured in three independent movies this year.

Additionally, she agreed to star in Dakota Johnson’s directorial debut A Tree in Blue.

I’m thoroughly loving my cinematic path, she shared. I feel very, very inspired right now in this area, and I solely want to do roles that stimulate me.

Next February will also see the launch of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from the artist.

She is also set to create the soundtrack for the drama Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release next year.

The Moment will be released on 30 January.
