Keeper

Alphonse Areola (West Ham): His team might have been six goals down at Bournemouth without him. Massive moment, rose to the occasion and demonstrated real class. Superb shot-stopping to earn them a 2-2 draw. Defeat could have dismantled their entire term.

Defensive unit

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace): He's in the running for season's best. People will talk about Arsenal players. He's been the standout player by a country mile.

Murillo (Nottingham Forest): You'd have been a mad supporter to say 'He scores and we'll beat Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield'. You could have gotten massive odds on that. He shone. He is turning into a powerhouse. He is truly a tough opponent. I'm happy to watch him perform similar to before.

Malick Thiaw (Newcastle): I watched him several occasions last year in Italy for AC Milan and he was getting killled due to errors. But at Newcastle he's been dominant. He displays immense power and forceful and seems polished. It looks like he has discovered a ideal club.

Ferdi Kadioglu (Brighton): Not typically a left-back, rather a modern type offensively. He's been a excellent acquisition for Brighton. Who would be surprised at them discovering another star unexpectedly? I thought releasing Pervis Estupinan it was odd but the Seagulls understand more than us.

Engine room

Sander Berge (Fulham) and Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest): Similar players and they are selected for the same reason. Their clubs triumphed, everyone will talk the scorers, but absent these individuals the sides struggle. They perform brilliantly. They break up play, they attack together.

Eberechi Eze (Arsenal): The man of the moment. A lot of followers, including my son, expressed skepticism if he could be the man to get them over the top. A hat-trick in the key match and supporters now wish to honor him permanently of him. Finishing, poise, he ran the show. The best player on the pitch.

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa): Possibly the only thing that I agree with Thomas Tuchel on - he has got to a point now where it is extremely tough to leave him out. My view was he had a great start to the season, In my opinion he seemed somewhat presumptuous and believed he could secure a transfer to Chelsea, and perhaps aimed for that, but he has settled down. A brilliant brace in the Leeds match helped his club from a deficit. He proved decisive.

Attackers

Callum Wilson (West Ham): I mentioned he appeared not his usual standard. He looked like his pace had gone. But wow. Words fail me. He was excellent. Phenomenal in his approach and in his dual goals.

Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): A really interesting player. He excels, often more effective when introduced, but due to Gordon's absence so he has to play. He missed a great opportunity against Manchester City at 0-0 with his easiest shot. Yet possessing the mental fortitude to place himself into challenging moments and score twice was impressive.

Coach

Sean Dyche (Nottingham Forest): He steps in and beats Arne Slot. A wonderful gameplan. Possibly it was five or six for Forest and all would agree.
